The GreenPages Vision
Our objective is to create a comprehensive public directory of conservation
and environment groups working in Aotearoa/ New Zealand. We hope that
this will provide a valuable resource for the whole of the environment
movement by assisting networking among groups and individuals, enabling
volunteers and information seekers to connect with relevant groups, and
by raising the profile of smaller groups.
Beginning with a dynamic database driven website allows us to keep build
the GreenPages directory quickly and keep it up to date easily.
Who are we?
The GreenPages project is a collaborative effort by people involved in
different groups in the New Zealand environment movement. This includes
Greenpeace, ECO, Native Forest Action, DoC, and the Nelson Environment
Centre.
Why get listed in The GreenPages?
By listing your group on the GreenPages you will:
- Be easy for people to find
- Increase your visibility and be recognised for your work
- Increase your ability to network with other groups
- Strengthen the environmental movement and
- Ensure that people have a positive experience when searching for environmental
information.
How do you get your group listed?
You will need to provide at least one contact method for your group to
be listed on the GreenPages. The more contact methods you provide for
publication, the more available you make yourself. An e-mail address for
your group will also make it easier for us to keep in touch.
You can help build the GreenPages by telling other people about this
website. If you know of other groups that may be interested in being included
in the GreenPages, let them know about the GreenPages and encourage them
to join.
Privacy
We recognise the individual's right to privacy. You do not have to submit
a personal contact name but we will need at least one contact method for
your group to be published in the directory.
